Ari was the leader of a small group of Freedom Fighters. When Robotnik captured the group, he made a deal with Ari. If he would lead Sonic into a trap, he would let Ari's Freedom Fighters go. Not happy with it, but wanting to save his friends over someone he had never heard of, Ari followed Robotnik's instructions and lead Sonic into a trap. However, he found out that Robotnik had already Robotised his friends and was going to do the same to him. With Ducly and Sally's help, he got free and then set about freeing Sonic. However, as he did so, he was sucked into the Void, leaving behind the message to find the King's list. After Sonic was tricked into freeing Naugus from the Void, while he was disguised as the King, Sally & Bunnie met up with Ari again, how was in the void along with the King. Since Ari hadn't been in the void for long, Sonic was able to safety free him. It is not known what Ari did next, but when Sally was contacting all the difference Freedom Fighter Groups, Ari joined up and worked with them for the Attack on the Doomsday Project. He was Captured with Lupe during the attack, but got to safely before the Machine was destroyed for good.
