Manic Man
TESP News icon Before anyone says anything, Yes the 23rd was the release date of Sonic 1, mostly used as Sonic's Birthday (17 years) and the 24th was the Release date in the UK. I didn't do anything for a number of reasons, one is to do with my intrest in the First Sonic. His first Video Game Apperance seams to be fact be Art Alive which was 1st January, 1991. Predating Sonic 1. His First Public Apperance was on the DCT 'Wonder 3' Tour and thanks to Jay at DCTJoy, i can tell you the first date of that tour was 7th November 1990.

So, i think my books kinda put Sonic's Birthday being 7th November. Let's do it like the queen huh? that's his True Birthday, and the 23rd is just the Offical Birthday. Anyway, i probbly won't be doing anything for that..

But on with this update.. 58 New Sonic 3 Game Genie Codes, isn't that nice?

Manic Man
TESP News icon I have givin Knuckles in Sonic 2 it's own section in the MegaDrive games and i have some more unmade games to add. The most unknown about one is tricky though.. Sonic Adventure!
It was oringally a Saturn game. But pretty early on the decided not to have it on the Saturn and it went to the Dreamcast. Information seams to hint the following facts and this is bascily all i got so far:
->The game wasn't to be Neo, Sonic still had his correct classic Look. Early Beta's of even the Dreamcast one shows these Saturn Models.
-> No Chaos. The Water Beast Chaos was made for the Dreamcast version to show off what the Saturn couldn't do.
-> No Chao's. The A-Life Chao mini-games were created for the Dreamcast version. I would have guess that with the above fact, the Story wouldn't have used this bits either
-> NOT 6 playable Characters. It is highly unlikey that 6 Playable characters would have been in the game. Big was 100% Dreamcast (showing off the 'fishing' game style) and it is believed E-102 and Amy was also the same. Either the game was oringally just going to be Sonic, or just Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.

any known shots from the Saturn version? Maybe 1 but alot of ones showing the Saturn Models are from the Dreamcast version.. Oh well.. I'll keep you up to date on what i find.

Sonic R Update - Posted on 5:24 PM CEST Thursday 19 Jun 2008 In TESP News
Manic Man
TESP News icon I have deleted the Sonic R ending Images from the Gallery and uploaded better ones.. some you won't notice are much better but still they are!
Why? This new ones are Game Perfect. This means they are Ripped from the Game Engine itself. Now, alot of games don't render the graphics quite as good as the files have them for a number of reasons. Either way, this are taken from the very game files so they are the best there is! I have also added the Complete Ending Image which was used as the beta Title Screen and seen in early Promo Art. I have also uploaded the title screen. This doesn't have the Logo because that was rendered on as 3D. Looks better without the Logo because it's cleaner..

TESP News icon Added a remove/change feature for Sonic 3 (not quite sure what to call it..)
also corrected a small mistake and expanded on Notes for SatAM Episode 'Fed Up with Antione/ Ghost Bustered'. A typing mistake said Owen Fitzgerald died 2 years before he was born. I expanded the note to explain who he was to people that don't know.

More Game Genie - Posted on 5:25 PM CEST Monday 16 Jun 2008 In TESP News
Manic Man
TESP News icon 88 Game Gear Game Genie Codes added This are for Sonic 1, Sonic 2 and Sonic Chaos. There are probbly a few more i didn't put in there for lives before they got up to 99 lives and the codes are for 1 life, 2 lives etc. You should be able to see the pattern needed to fill in the gaps if you need to. One Problem is i don't have a Game Gear Game Genie Cart nor do i have an Emulator that supports them so am a little stuck when it comes to testing some of these codes so if you know that really don't work or i got the wrong area code, let me know.
