Captain Claw was a Bounty Hunter that patrolled the waters of the Mobian Channel. While Knuckles was crossing it, he was found and attacked for the reward by the Crab and his 'Octonaught'. Knuckles beat him with very little trouble and forced the captain to use the wrack of the OctoNaught to row to land.
