NOTES
* The Plane 'The Freedom Stormier' never appears again after this episode (Maybe Sonic crashed it?)
* Just after Sally says the last test 'Courage', Robotnik appears. While bits hint it ISN'T really Robotnik, but the third test, the end of the episode (and the lack of any proof) says it IS Robotnik, and they never take the final test.

Review
The Episode starts fairly simplely and with a lot of promise. Sonic is running though the great forest when Tails and Bunnie stop him to show him a surprise. It turns out to be a scrap built plane 'The Freedom Stormier'. And Sally wants to take it to find the Secret Scrolls which no-one has ever been able to find. What is odd then, how come Sally has a map and has enought data to work out stuff no-one else has ever been able to work out? no clue.. She is just Super Smart in this episode. When they find Muaga, Sally acts like the only information about it is in legend yet Oh, didn't she have that very detailed map? yep.. she uses it alot. When they find the Arrow stone, Sally knows all about it (apart from translating which Nicole did) so again, why is this place soo secret and hidden if Sal has great detailed maps to the scrolls? Oh well. After another problem they find the first marker. Which is odd.. Isn't the Arrow stone a marker since it pointed the way to the ancient city? probbly just A Marker not one of the Two Special Markers. As they go, they find Riddles and work them out without much problem. Bunnie does a comment about there are three tests (Intelligence, Spirit and Courage) but only two Markers. The first test is the Chair.. Sonic can see a Chair in the light.. That means he is Intelligent.. Odd but true.. Then they get to the scrolls. They are two so the test is which is the right one. This is the Test of Spirit, they then find out the Arrow Stone is in fact one of the Markers (didn't i say that?) and work out the Real Scrolls are the poor looking ones. That is the Test of Spirit. There is then One test to go, though they already have the scrolls which, well, Nicole Translates into being pretty pointless. They just point out the seven great wonders of Mobius. Sally remembers the third test just in turn for a Shock as Robotnik, Snively and the Swatbots appear! Now, i have always taken it that this isn't really Robotnik but the third test. It would make sense right? Well, While Sonic deals with Robotnik, The rest of the gang look for a way out, only to be found by antione when he is scared and lending against a wall.. Clearly not the third Test. So we are back to Robotnik having to be the third test! When trying to defeat Robotnik, they use the first of the Wonders of Mobius (powerful Weaponlike Wonders it is claimed) which just happeneds to be at Muaga. When looking at an image we are shown, Sally can somehow see some tunnels they we can't but oh well i am getting off the point here. Using the Wind and hiding, Sonic defeats Robotnik and his Swatbots by blowing them away and then we get the first of many 'Oh look, Robotnik is dead' lines as he goes well over the cliffs. Now, they look over the cliffs and he is nowhere to be seen. Really, this comfirms it wasn't really Robotnik but a Trick as the third Test. They then go home and everything is fine. But then we see Robotnik and Snively are still alive! Now, this ending bit shows us, like i said, that Robotnik is alive not dead.. but doesn't it go against the idea of him being the third test? yes it does. So by the end of the Episode, only two of the three tests have been completed.
While this review seams to be moaning at points it is because i like this story, but it is ruined by all this small points which after you notice, you really have a problem enjoying this episode as much. The Freedom Stormier is never seen again. Maybe, since Sonic was piloting it at the end, he crashed it? we don't know. And what about the Scrolls? there aren't any hints about them, any refences or any more of the Seven wonders of Mobius found. This doesn't ruin this story when you watch it, but ruins it after you have watched the rest of the Series because you are left thinking, Oh was all that pointless? It has been over ten years since i first saw this episode and i still want to know about the third test of Courage. Maybe we could say it was part of a translation and research mistake by Sally? but she seams so amazinly good duing this episode. No-one in what appears to be a very long time has ever found the scrolls before yet she has complete maps to were the city is and where abouts in the city they are. All in all, i give this episode a 7 out of 10. maybe 6 if you look at it with the other episodes. It's a good enought story but there appears to be a few unanswered questions by the end which are a real pain and even more so in this kind of story. If you look at it with the other eps, it does lost that point for never seen the freedom stormier or the scrolls ever again.
